While it is perfectly safe to rest your cup on the Uccello Grip Mat while pouring water from the Uccello Kettle into it. The Grip Mat can withstand up to 50 degrees.
Placing objects that have been heated intentionally such as saucepans, pots and pans etc. will melt it. It is not advised to place a hot pan or tray directly onto the matt straight from the oven as this can melt it.
